A space to heal, grow, and cultivate greater emotional wellness.

Individual therapy offers time set apart from the demands of your life; time to slow down, listen more closely to yourself, and consider what your symptoms, reactions, and relationships might be telling you.

In therapy, we pay attention not only to what is happening, but to how it came to be. Together, we might trace links between past and present, notice patterns that once kept you safe but now feel limiting, and explore how your nervous system and relationships carry the imprint of what you’ve lived through.

Our stance is steady, curious, and clinically informed. We bring in specific tools and frameworks when they are useful, while we attend to your specific experiences and therapeutic needs. Individual therapy aims to develop a more coherent and compassionate understanding of yourself and to develop different ways of moving through the world—with more choice, connection, and self-trust.

Individual Therapy

Life doesn’t always announce its breaking points loudly. Sometimes it’s a slow accumulation, tension in your body that doesn’t quite let up, a sense of going through the motions, old memories resurfacing, or a growing distance between how you’re living and the life you aspire to live. You might notice yourself feeling more irritable or shut down, staying busy to avoid thinking or feeling, or a sense of numbness in situations that used to matter. However it shows up, something in you has recognized that it deserves thoughtful attention.

Individual therapy gives that
recognition a place to go.

It allows a break from constant doing, allowing a space that encourages reflection in thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the stories you’ve had to tell yourself to get this far. Together, we’ll look closely at what has shaped you, what you’ve had to carry, and what might be ready to shift. This work is thoughtful and grounded, and is often made up of many small, meaningful shifts that, over time, add up to real change: making sense of your experience, loosening what no longer fits, and supporting you in relating to yourself and your life with more clarity, compassion, and choice.

What to Expect

Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, authenticity, and connection. From your very first session, our goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood.

Every person brings a unique story, which is why we tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Our work is trauma-informed and grounded in psychodynamic, attachment-based, relational, and evidence-informed practices. Depending on your goals, we may also incorporate approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, somatic interventions, and mindfulness.

Together, we'll explore not only the challenges you're facing today, but also the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped the way you think, feel, and move through the world.

How Therapy Can Help

Individual therapy can support you if you're experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed

  • Depression or persistent sadness

  • Trauma or the lasting effects of difficult life experiences

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship challenges

  • Life transitions

  • Low self-worth or difficulty trusting yourself

  • Perfectionism, people-pleasing, or burnout

  • Family of origin concerns

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

  • Identity exploration and personal growth

  • Difficulty setting boundaries or communicating your needs

As therapy progresses, many clients experience greater self-understanding, healthier relationships, increased confidence, and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and the life they want to create. While every journey is unique, our goal is to help you move beyond simply managing symptoms toward lasting healing, emotional wellness, and overall well-being.
